What a record does and does not prove
- A jail booking is an arrest-stage record. It says someone was taken into custody on a date, on the charges recorded then — never that they were convicted
- Vermont publishes no statewide court source, so a disposition is not reachable statewide and an arrest record cannot tell you how the case ended
- Vermont publishes no statewide warrant system, so no warrant search can be complete for this state
