See or dispute what was reported about you

If a screening company or employer used information we furnished in a decision about you, you can see exactly what it was and tell us if anything is wrong.

I have an access code

The notice or report copy from the screening company includes an access code. Use it with your last name and date of birth to see every item we reported, dispute any of them, and follow each dispute until it is resolved.

I don’t have a code

Request a copy of your file or tell us something is wrong. We confirm your identity by email first — nothing about you is shared until that is done.

Request my file or dispute

Request your file or dispute information

For a dispute, say which information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete and who showed it to you. Do not include your Social Security number, date of birth, photos or documents.

You can also start a request by email at support@offendersearch.app.

What happens next

We confirm it is you

With an access code, your last name and date of birth confirm it. Without one, we reply by email with how to verify your identity. We never ask for your Social Security number.

We investigate

For a dispute, we check the information with the official registry or court that holds it. If we cannot confirm it in time, it is removed.

Within 30 days

We complete a dispute within 30 days of receiving it and tell you the result. If information is corrected or removed, every company we furnished it to is told.

Your rights

The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you the right to see the information a consumer reporting company holds about you and to dispute information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete. Read the Summary of Consumer Rights published by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

We do not make hiring, housing or other eligibility decisions. Questions about a decision should also go to the company or employer that told you about it.

Prefer email? Write to support@offendersearch.app with your name and whether you want your file or want to dispute something.
